At approximately 3/5 through I cannot go on.
There is basically nothing left to compel me to care anymore. I don't like any of these characters, I don't love to hate/hate to love any either, any vibrant emotional connection may have kept me entertained. I don't care a jot for their eternally changing motivations. Based solely on this text Eleanor of Aquitaine doesn't deserve 'the most powerful woman in history' tag. This review by Luthien on Goodreads already says it better than I could. I'm going to read a factual book instead.
